Overview

The Payroll Coordinator position is responsible for multi-state payroll processing in a fast-pace environment.  Completes high quality data entry; meets process deadlines; adheres to defined process tasks; demonstrates attention to detail; and timely communicates risk.  Demonstrates the ability to develop broad and deep payroll and system expertise and deliver accurate and timely employee payments.  Utilizes others for instruction, guidance and direction. Develops competence in own area by performing routine work.

This role will pay an hourly rate of $27.20 to $30.20

Responsibilities

 

  • Provide customer service and support to all OVG employees located across the country.
  • Manage employee payroll processing including off-cycle pay, status changes, deductions, manual checks, adjustments, special pays, reversals, void, etc.
  • Process multi-state weekly and bi-weekly payrolls for various entities and pay groups for 1,000+ employees.
  • Process employee timecard data in eTime.
  • Completes audits of payroll registers for assigned locations to ensure that all data entry has been prepared for processing.
  • Verifies hours worked; compute and verify correct deductions.
  • Receives and enters adjustments to on-cycle payroll process for assigned locations.
  • Validates and prepares off-cycle manual check requests to ensure that all employees receive any additional funds owed.
  • Maintains the accuracy and integrity of the payroll system by carefully reviewing all entries made and remaining aware of their impact on the payroll process.
  • Maintains confidentiality regarding associates’ personal information and payroll data at all times.
  • Demonstrate ability for accuracy and thoroughness in work.
  • Demonstrate ability to effectively identify and resolve problems.
  • Demonstrate ability to respond and adapt quickly to changing and sometimes ambiguous situations.
  • Demonstrate ability to plan and prioritize work activities effectively.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Team player; excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Assist in documenting all payroll process and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience with multi-pay frequency and multi-state payroll processing of 1,000+ employees
  • Thorough knowledge & understanding of ADP EV6 & ADP e-Time.
  • Expert level skills in Excel (Pivot Tables, vLookups, etc)
  • Ability to maintain confidential and sensitive information.
  • Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision.
  • Maintain professionalism and composure under pressure.
  • Strong communication skills
  • Great organization skills
  • CPP of FPC preferred but not required
