Overview

The Operations changeover crew provides assistance to the Director of Operations and Operations Manager for all Arena conversions. This position is Changeover Only.

· This position will pay an hourly wage of $16 per hour based on experience.

 

This role will pay an hourly wage of $16.00.

About the Venue

Liberty First Credit Union Arena is an indoor arena located in the Ralston/Omaha, Nebraska area. The 200,000 sq. ft. arena can accommodate up to 4,400 patrons and hosts 350,000+ attendees at upwards of 150 concerts, sporting events, family shows, and other events every year. The arena is home to the USHL Omaha Lancers Hockey team and the NAL Omaha Beef Football team. The arena is just two miles from the interstate and attracts concert goers from a 100-mile radius.

Responsibilities

· Confer daily with the Operations team to review and receive assignments.

· Be a key player in keeping the facility clean.

· Set up for events by un-stacking chairs, tables of various shapes and sizes, staging and drapery.

· Comprehend and communicate clear instructions for event set ups.

· Operate buffer, scrubbers, vacuum and other various equipment.

· Protect and maintain equipment and ensure there are no inadequacies.

· Note and report any building components in need of repair.

· Safely use cleaning chemicals and communicate proper cleaning procedures as needed to others.

· Perform other duties as assigned.

· Actively participate in the completion of facility-wide conversions

· Develop a wide array of specialized changeover skills, including setting up and breaking down basketball court, hockey glass, football turf, dashers, event deck, risers, chairs, tables, and stages.

· Perform related duties and responsibilities as required.

· Operate an assortment of equipment including forklifts, pallet jackets and more.

· Be reliable, honest, dependable, and punctual.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or Equivalent GED

Must be 18 years of age or older.

 

Knowledge of:

  • Operational Characteristics and maintenance requirements of maintenance tools and equipment
  • Cleaning materials, supplies and equipment.
  • Safe work practices
  • Applicable tools and equipment operations
  • Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Handle multiple tasks at one time working from general instructions and specifications, with minimal supervision.
  • The work schedule will vary based on events booked.

 

Ability to:

  • Use and operate hand tools, power tools, and equipment required for the work in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Regularly lift and carry equipment and supplies weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Read and interpret basic maps, blueprints and event diagram specifications.
  • Understand and follow oral and written directions.
  • Read and understand cleaning chemical mixture and application directions.
  • Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work.
  • Able to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Handle multiple tasks at one time working from general instructions and specifications, with minimal supervision.
  • Must have the ability to work a flexible schedule including long hours, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Shifts regularly occur overnight.
