Overview

The Director of Premium Sales is responsible for achieving monthly and/or yearly revenue targets for contracted revenue, new business, renewals, and event-by-event sales, if required.  The Director will assist with building the strategy and direction for sale of premium Suites and seats for the Hamilton Arena Project. This includes outbound and inbound sales strategy to maximize revenue tied to Suites and contracted premium seats both on multi-year agreements. This includes outbound sales efforts to both local companies and individuals. This position will assist with hiring, training, and supervising the Premium Sales team.

 

This role will pay a salary of $100,000 to $125,000.

Responsibilities

  • Meet or exceed established monthly and/or yearly revenue goals for contracted revenue, new business, renewals, and event-by-event sales, if required
  • Lead by example and apply sales best practices for outbound and inbound sales, with guidance from OVG Premium
  • Prospect and cultivate new sales leads through creative lead generation methods, as well as follow up on leads provided by the organization
  • Assist with the hiring, training, and development of a Premium Sales team
  • Conduct sales calls via phone presentations, email presentations, in-office meetings/sales center presentations.
  • Work with the Marketing Department to create printed and digital sales collateral to assist in selling premium products
  • Entertain and nurture relationships with clients and prospects through creative means, e.g., networking events, one-on-one dinners/lunches, prospect sampling at shows, seat visits at shows, etc.
  • Perform accurate and skilled deal closing
  • Submit timely reports to management, including weekly and monthly sales revenue reports
  • Enter all pertinent prospect and customer information in CRM platform for efficient reporting and historical data purposes
  • Create individual business plan with regards to prospecting, lead generation, number of sales calls, establishing sales goals, timeline for meeting goals, etc.
  • Maximize relationships with clients to identify new revenue opportunities
  • Create new programs that lead to the generation of referrals from existing book of business
  • Collaborate with industry leaders on best practices within the area of premium sales and service
  • Conduct tours of facility for potential licensees; answer questions and provide information regarding facility capabilities
  • Travel to regional areas throughout the year in search of new business
  • Assist with the creation of budgets and work within operating budget
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or a combination of related education and work experience
  • 5-7 years’ of premium sales or related experience preferred
  • Professional demeanor and positive attitude with a demonstrated passion for sales
  • Has a strong track record of building relationships and generating new business
  • Competitive, self-motivated, and creative-thinking skills and a team-first attitude
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to tell the arena’s story to energize staff and clients
  • Proficient in MS Office with Salesforce or similar CRM experience - Ticketmaster platform & Archtics experience presferred
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
