Overview

This full-time position has key responsibility for creative artwork, content, and visual graphics of PPG Paints Arena’s website, social media platforms and in Arena graphics.  In addition, this role participates in the oversight and facilitation of social media, digital and promotions for over 120 arena events.

 

This role will pay an annual salary of $60,000 to $68,500.

About the Venue

As a leading entertainment venue, PPG Paints Arena is the regional epicenter for athletic events, concerts, and family shows in Western Pennsylvania, and home to the NHL’s Pittsburgh Penguins.

Responsibilities

  • Leads different types of design projects from ideation through to completion.
  • Design original works, including presentations, illustrations, mock-ups, one-pagers, infographics, etc.
  • Refines media (images, fonts, layouts) using graphic design software.
  • Creates visual ideas to portray concepts and bring multi-faceted marketing
  • Maintains brand consistency across all projects.
  • Collaborates with business development and consulting teams to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Stays current on industry developments, tools, techniques, and aesthetics.
  • Create all graphic artwork needed for events, including website, social media and distributing those images to the appropriate parties.
  • Develop and maintain website content, to include scheduling events for the homepage to promote ticket sales, and adding new events.
  • Lead and create email marketing campaigns and edit content to ensure a positive image on all social media sites, including Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, and Instagram.
  • Assist the Creative Marketing Manager in coordinating collateral for the Arena Tour Program.
  • Oversee preparation of email newsletters and company announcements.

Qualifications

  • BA in Design, Visual Arts or relevant field an asset
  • Proven ability producing designs for various types of media (website, social, print)
  • Demonstrated proficiency in web design and Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop)
  • Strong knowledge of current social media platforms and trends
  • Extremely detail oriented and adherence to strict file structure guidelines. Follow print specifications and digital requirements for constructing files.
  • Effectively manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written and oral communications, comfortable with public speaking, strong organizational skills
  • Prior experience leading, mentoring, or coaching teams preferred
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule as needed, including weekends, evenings, and holidays
