Overview

Responsible for supervising full and part-time staff, safeguarding of company premises (including building and parking facility), and protection of clients, guests and employees within facility, and ensuring excellent customer service to clients, patrons and the public. Rotates between both buildings as assigned.

 

This role will pay an hourly rate of $23.01.

Responsibilities

  • Assigns posts and staffs as needed (calling in additional staff if necessary, in accordance with overtime policies and procedures); Train new personnel.
  • Completes Detex rounds as assigned.
  • Writes detailed incident reports and verifies information provided on guard report.
  • Maintains public safety equipment (i.e. gates, ticket machines, surveillance room equipment, etc.)
  • Provides leadership and ensures adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Assists Public Safety and Garage operation (supervisors and managers) as needed.
  • Monitors facility for safety hazards and conditions and responds proactively to address any issues.
  • Prepares management reports on receipts and totals for parking garage operations as assigned.
  • Supervises and initiates appropriate performance corrections for substandard staff performance.
  • Maintains the confidentiality of sensitive company information.
  • Consistently acts as a role model for professionalism, courtesy, friendliness, and calm responses and decisions under pressure.
  • Understands all emergency response procedures and ensures staff is also fully prepared to respond.
  • All other duties/responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Previous security experience necessary; Previous supervisory experience and surveillance experience preferred
  • Strong oral and written communication skills; proven excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Computer literacy to include familiarity with Microsoft Outlook (e-mail), and Microsoft Word.
  • Administrative and money handling skills preferred.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to maintain accurate records
  • Ability to work cooperatively and respectfully with all levels of staff and public.
  • Complete tasks timely and effectively
  • Follow event calendar and resumes and weekly schedules
  • Work as a team players
  • Work weekends and holidays
  • Attend department meetings
  • Excellent knowledge of both facilities as evidenced by written examination.
