Overview

The Concessions Shift Leader is responsible for the effective running of concessions operations daily within a specified geographical area. The Concessions Shift Leader must provide a high level of event oversight, technical proficiency, and operational/personnel support to ensure the smooth running of any assigned event.

This is a key position for the effective and profitable operation of the business.  The employee must maintain excellent attendance and be available to work a variable event-driven schedule, which includes evenings and weekends.  Open availability, professional presentation, outstanding interpersonal skills, self-direction and strong management and independent decision-making skills are required.

 

This role will pay an hourly wage of $20 to $22.

Brûlée also operates and manages several casual café concepts and employee dining programs within its landmark locations.

While the company’s Off-Premise division caters to any location from roof top to back yard, Brûlée Catering has also earned exclusive status in a growing number of the Philadelphia region’s most prestigious cultural centers and historic buildings.

 

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for overseeing a staff of part-time and full-time Cashiers. Responsible for completing documentation of employee performance and attendance issues in accordance with company policy and practice.
  • Provide a high level of oversight and operational expertise resulting in the smooth, efficient, and profitable execution of events.
  • Responsible for daily concessions operations. Duties include, equipment inspection, POS monitoring and troubleshooting, guest complaint resolution, training, food production, clean-up, post-event reconciliation and reporting, and any other duties as assigned by the Café Portfolio Manager.
  • Willing to cover any open position to assure location is fully operational and company standards pertaining to speed of service and guest satisfaction are met.
  • Provide direction and oversight to Concessions Cooks, and Cashiers.
  • Ensure that all venue policies, procedures and practices are adhered to, including compliance with alcohol service and food handling / sanitation guidelines, general safety policies and procedures. Report any alcohol service or other compliance issues to Café Portfolio Manager immediately.
  • Must show demonstrated ability to meet the company standard for excellent attendance.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • High School diploma required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Work Environment and Context Work schedule varies and includes working on nights holidays and weekends.
  • Requires standing for extended periods, walking, pushing, lifting up to 25 pounds, bending and reaching, stooping, kneeling, or crouching.
  • Ability to communicate with employees, co-workers, volunteers, management staff and guests in a clear, professional, and courteous manner which fosters a positive, enthusiastic, and cooperative work environment.
  • Ability to speak, read, and write in English.
