Overview

The Beer Server is responsible for the service of all beverages, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. They must be personable, professional and able to work in an ever changing fast-paced environment. The employee must maintain excellent attendance and be available to work events as scheduled per business need.

 

This role will pay an hourly wage of $16.78.

Responsibilities

Responsible for serving guests beer/ wine in a fast-paced environment

Must demonstrate ability to meet the company standard for excellence in customer service, interacting with guests in a friendly and fast manner; ensuring guests complete satisfaction and exceeding their expectations

Beer Server should have extensive knowledge in all aspects of beer in order to sell and serve drinks in a professional manner that achieves Company service and quality standards

Acknowledge all guests, anticipate Guest's needs, and respond promptly to guests- however busy 

Entering and completing guest's orders on a point-of-sale computer system; accepting various types of payment

Attempt to limit problems and liability related to customers' excessive drinking by taking steps such as discontinuing alcohol service and notifying management of potential problem(s)

Responsibily serves alcoholic beverages in accordance with Company, Federal, State, and local policies, procedures, regulations, and laws

Working in a team environment with the ability to be a team player

Responsible for completing an accurate closing inventory of product

Assures and maintains cleanliness of bar and surrounding area throughout the day, assures the area is operable

Maintain sanitation, health, and safety standards in work

Responsible for checking ID's of guest prior to serving, making sure each guest is of age to purchase alcohol with a valid ID. Refusing to serve beverages in a polite manner to guests who are not of legal age and have expired ID.

Follow Company's guidelines for serving any beer/ wine in appropriate cup size

Restock area as required

Set up and breakdown of beer stand

While performing the duties of this position, the team member is standing the entire shift

Qualifications

2 years or more experience of full-service restaurant or beer server in a similar level of volume with knowledge of beer.

MUST have RBS Alcohol Certificate that is required by State Law

MUST have CA Food Handlers Certificate that is required by State Law (specific for CA or LA County will ONLY be accepted)

Take pride in personal appearance; reporting to work in neat and clean clothing; maintaining well-groomed hair and personal hygiene as established by Company policy

Accurate cash handling skills

Ability to be self-directed while working in a team-oriented environment.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and long hours.

Must maintain excellent attendance.

Must have the ability to remain stationary for long periods of up to 4 hours in length; must be able to safely reach, bend, stop, and frequently lift up to 25lbs.

 

Must have knowledge of various beers, wines, and spirits.

Must have knowledge of mixing and garnishing alcoholic drinks.

Knowledge of and ability to appropriately interpret and follow policies and procedures.
