Overview

An Overnight Security Attendant is a part - time employee who will act as primary security of all assets at the Ford Idaho Center.  They are responsible for providing a safe environment for our guests and ensuring all buildings are secure. 

 

This role will pay an hourly wage of $15 to $17.00.

About the Venue

This position is based at our Ford Idaho Center. The Ford Idaho Center features a variety of flexible spaces to host events of all types and sizes. The Ford Idaho Center is a unique combination of three venues under one complex: Ford Idaho Center Arena, Ford Idaho Sports Center, and Ford Idaho Horse Park. The complex is flexible to meet the needs of events of all types and sizes. It is well-suited for conventions, meetings, tradeshows, sporting, social and entertainment events.

Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service and assistance to all guests
  • Greet all guests at the gate to assure they are properly credentialed and are to be there.
  • Prevent unauthorized people and prohibited property from entering the facility and or property;
  • Respond to alarms, emergencies and other incidents as needed to preserve life and protect property;
  • Greet and assist Drive Buys requiring access to horse stalls and RV spots.
  • Do a nightly stall check during large scale horse events
  • Keep and maintain a cashbox at the beginning and end of a shift.
  • Provide directional assistance to guests throughout the complex
  • Control and monitor all access to all restricted areas
  • Provide a safe and secure environment for the Ford Idaho Center
  • Report actual/suspected violations of FIC policies, procedures, rules or regulations to your supervisor.
  • Complete an incident report on a timely basis, as required
  • Maintain various electronic records;
  • Operate CCTV cameras, vehicle gates, fire alarm panels and other life safety equipment;
  • Act as a member of the emergency evacuation team by directing guests to emergency exits as needed
  • Conduct exterior patrols to detect hazards and suspicious activity;
  • Conduct interior patrols to detect hazards and suspicious activity;
  • Hand out materials to guests as needed for events including parking passes.
  • Follow all event procedures and safety standards
  • Provide excellent customer service assistance to all clients
  • All other duties assigned by Security Manager or Supervisor

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Must have a demonstrated ability to function in a fast paced, high-pressure environment
  • Must have a valid Driver’s License
  • Must be able to operate a motorized vehicle
  • Customer service experience and exceptional customer service, communication skills.
  • Comfortable working with the public with an outgoing and friendly personality
  • Comfortable with the potential of working around animals such as horses
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in the English language
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of team, remaining flexible in your role
  • Ability to work flexible schedule including long hours, nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to work the majority of Arena events at the Ford Idaho Center.
