Overview

The Diamond Club Runner is responsible for making sure there an enough popcorn and peanuts for each game, while helping serve food from the kitchen to the tables and clean after ticket holders leave.  They stock dry stock items and help with trash and setup for the next day games.  Must be personable, professional, and able to work in an ever changing fast-paced environment. The employee must maintain excellent attendance and be available to work long hours if needed or when business needs dictate.

 

This role will pay an hourly wage of $8.00 to $11.00.

About the Venue

Midland's Momentum Bank Ballpark, opened in 2002, is home to the RockHounds, the Double-A affiliate of the Oakland Athletics. The stadium seats 4,709, with grass berm areas adding to the overall capacity. Momentum Bank Ballpark has helped bring fun and family entertainment to West Texas.

Responsibilities

  • Must demonstrate ability to meet the company standard for excellence in customer service, interacting with guests in a friendly and fast manner; ensuring guests complete satisfaction and exceeding their expectations.
  • The Beer Server should have extensive knowledge in all aspects of beer in order to sell and serve drinks in a professional manner that achieves Company service and quality standards.
  • Acknowledge all guests, anticipate guest's needs, and respond promptly to guests; however busy.
  • Entering and completing guest's orders on a point-of-sale computer system; accepting various types of payment.
  • Attempt to limit problems and liability related to customers' excessive drinking by taking steps such as discontinuing alcohol service and notifying management of potential problem(s).
  • Responsibly serves alcoholic beverages in accordance with Company, Federal, State, and local policies, procedures, regulations, and laws.
  • Working in a team environment with the ability to be a team player.
  • Responsible for completing an accurate closing inventory of product.
  • Assures and maintains cleanliness of bar and surrounding area throughout the day, assures the area is operable 
  • Maintain sanitation and safety standards at work.
  • Follow company's guidelines for serving any beer/wine in appropriate cup size.
  • Request additional product or restock product as required
  • Other duties as assigned such as set-up and breakdown of bar equipment as required and assisting with organization of the cooler.
  • While performing the duties of this position, the team member is standing the entire shift.

Qualifications

  • 2 years or more experience of full-service restaurant or beer server in a similar level of volume with knowledge of beer.
  • Must have alcohol and food certifications as required by local, state, or federal laws.
  • Take pride in personal appearance; reporting to work in neat and clean clothing; maintaining well-groomed hair and personal hygiene as established by Company policy.
  • Must have knowledge of various beers, wines, and spirits.
  • Must maintain excellent attendance.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Knowledge of and ability to appropriately interpret and follow policies and procedures.
  • Ability to meet the demands of the work schedule to be at work and on time; work long hours if needed.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
  • Must have ability to remain stationary for long periods of up to (4) hours in length; must be able to safely reach, bend, stop and frequently lift up to 25lbs.
