Overview

The Supplier Diversity Intern is responsible for project management for OVG’s supplier diversity program during the internship period. This role will work closely with the supplier diversity team, venue teams, and suppliers to support OVG’s supplier diversity initiatives. The supplier diversity intern will assist with building and coordinating supplier diversity events, help facilitate email communications, and support with day-to-day projects as well as long-term initiatives to drive spend toward diverse suppliers.  The OVG internship programs allows our interns to speak with, collaborate, and learn from several leaders at OVG specializing in different areas of the sports entertainment business. 

 

This role will pay an hourly wage of $22.00.

Responsibilities

  • Analyzing and manipulating data using pivot tables and VLOOKUP formulas.
  • Ability to summarize and present findings to team members.
  • Responsible for managing supplier relationships, including sending email communication, scheduling meetings, and answering questions regarding the program.
  • Working and collaborating with the Supplier Diversity team to plan, coordinate, and execute supplier diversity events.
  • Tracking project status and providing updates on key milestone dates.
  • Research related to diverse supplier certification process, sourcing and engaging diverse suppliers, etc.
  • Ad-hoc duties.

  • Knowledgeable and skilled in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint)
  • Basic accounting and finance knowledge
  • Experience with scheduling events
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organization skills
  • Must have strong work ethic, problem solving and prioritization skills
  • Must be able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Creative thinker; thinks “outside the box”
