Overview

The Changeover Technician will perform general labor duties as assigned. Duties included but not limited to building conversions for various events, set up and breakdown of chairs, tables, staging, soft-goods, etc.

 

This role will pay an hourly wage of $14 to $18.00.

About the Venue

The Donald L. Tucker Civic Center features a 12,500-seat arena, 34 luxury suites, 476 club seats, over 54,000 sq. ft. of meeting and exhibition space and an arena view restaurant, the Spotlight Grille. The arena is home to Florida State Men’s and Women’s basketball and is known for its electric atmosphere and fierce home court advantage. Not only a music and sports venue, the arena also is frequently used for trade shows, large catered functions, receptions, religious services, and classes. Responsibilities

  • Being a team player.
  • Perform conversions for meetings, banquets, basketball games, concerts, and other types of events.
  • Set up and break down chairs, tables, pipe and drape, risers, stages, basketball courts, and other types of equipment.
  • Safely and correctly operate necessary equipment.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of storage areas.
  • Perform general labor as assigned.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Ability to follow instructions and directions.
  • Ability to have a flexible schedule based around events including nights, weekends, early mornings, and holidays, as needed.
  • Ability to perform general labor in a dynamic / fast paced environment.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and equipment up to 50lbs.
  • Ability to stand / be on your feet for up to 4 hours at a time.
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Forklift certification a plus.
