This position is committed to providing World Class Service for all Ford Wyoming Center arena events.  The Event Security position is responsible for ensuring the safety and security for all events.  Special security assignments may be available during non-event days/nights.  The security team is a provider of direct service to our guests and must always exhibit a professional and courteous demeanor.

This role will pay an hourly wage of $12 to $13.00.

Formerly the Casper Events Center, the venue was renamed to the Ford Wyoming Center in January 2021. The Center is a 28,000 square foot multi-purpose facility, built high on a hill overlooking the city of Casper, Casper Mountain, and the scenic Platte River Valley. Funded entirely by the City’s portion of an optional 1% sales tax, the venue opened on April 17, 1982. The arena features a horseshoe-shaped seating bowl with 8,000 seats.

The Ford Wyoming Center hosts a variety of different events each year, including concerts, sporting events, family shows, trade shows, competitions, religious services, bull riding competitions, commencement ceremonies, lectures, and political rallies among other corporate and community events. The arena is host to the Wyoming High School Basketball, Volleyball, and Wrestling Tournaments, the Wyoming High School Art Symposium, Wyoming High School Marching Band Competition and Wyoming High School Spirit and Cheer Competition. The venue has been home of the College National Finals Rodeo each June since 2001.

The Ford Wyoming Center is owned by the City of Casper, Wyoming and is proudly managed by OVG360, a division of Oak View Group.

• Be punctual and attentive when receiving instruction. 
• Providing security services within the facility domain or on assignment as directed. 
• Execute access control through specified controls including but not limited to visual, item/accessory inspection, magnetic monitoring or physical inspection.  

• Watch and inspect for (as directed) illegal or unauthorized items entering the facility as specified per event instructions and direction from Event Manager, MOD or designee. 
• Actively checking credentials for access to restricted or controlled areas. 
• Assist all guests with directions and information regarding seating, ADA locations, elevator and other facilities. 
• Communicate and enforce facility policies and ensure public safety through keeping portals and stairways clear. Aid in seating with flashlights when needed. 
• Coordinate with the Customer Services Attendants any seating issues. 

• While enforcing facility or show specific policies every effort shall be made to minimize the disruption to surrounding guests. 
• Maintain first line communication with guests and resolve routine security challenges/problems. 
• When necessary, provide appropriate efforts to remove problem individuals from occupied areas including the premises. 
• When necessary, intervene in physical altercations and diffuse the situation. 
• Will potentially be assigned within the “pit” area between crowd control barrier and performance stage. 

• Assisting in general cleaning between events as required and instructed. 

• High school diploma or equivalent GED. 

• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. 
• Knowledge of procedures, methods and techniques of security and crowd control. 
• Experience and/or certification in security, crowd control or police work is preferred. 
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 
• Interacting with guests, clients and internal staff. 

• General neat and presentable appearance. 
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule including extended hours, nights, weekends and holidays as required for specific shift requirements.
