This Operations Manager reports to the Director of Operations and is responsible for assisting with front and back of house services, technical services, information technology, conversion, and janitorial services at the Centene Community Ice Center and the seasonal concert venue, Saint Louis Music Park. Assists with controlling operations expenses, and performs related day to day responsibilities as required. Supervises and coordinates the operations of the Customer Service Representatives and Shift Supervisors.   Will assist with developing customer service policies and training for the Customer Service employees.  Exceptional customer service and standards of excellence are a key component to the vision of excellence

This role will pay a wage of $40,000 to $50,000.

Centene Community Ice Center is as a state-of-the-art facility designed for hockey programming that is curated for all ages and skill levels. It houses three sheets of ice inside year-round and also features an outdoor rink for use in winter months, transforming into St. Louis Music Park in the summer months. It is the official practice facility for the St. Louis Blues of the National Hockey League (NHL) and serves as the home rink for Lindenwood University (NCAA DI). Alongside hockey development programs, the facility also offers freestyle skating and daily public skate sessions providing a unique experience for locals to get on the ice.

• Schedule and maintain schedules for Customer Service Representatives and Supervisors of Facility.
• Schedule and maintain schedules for janitorial staff for the ice center and concert venue.
• Interview, hire, train, and lead staff.
• Maintain cleanliness, safety, and overall appearance of the facility.
• Performs and leads facility conversions both at the ice center and the seasonal concert venue.
• Assist and perform other administrative duties as assigned and needed.
• Act as crowd control manager as needed.
• Explain policies and procedures to staff, tenants, and the public.
• Receive and respond to complaints from customers/public or refer them to the Director of Operations.
• Monitor assigned events at Centene Community Ice Center and Saint Louis Music Park, as they interface with other events and activities scheduled in the venues.
• Assure that the event, hockey, and concert areas are set-up in accordance with lessee agreements, safety, fire, and health codes.
• Make or arrange for last‑minute adjustments in room or equipment set‑ups at the request of customer.
• Act as Manager on Duty for the department.
• Research and resolve customer service issues.
• Recommend and implement goals, objectives and practices for providing effective and efficient customer service.
• Provide excellent customer service assistance to internal and external clients.
• Exemplify the CCIC and OVG customer service principles.

• A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college with emphasis on management, event management or other related fields. Or, 1-3 years of experience in a related field highly desirable.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including early mornings, days, evenings, weekends, holidays, extended (long) work days and extended numbers of days.
• Ability to work outdoors
• Possession of or ability to obtain a driver license.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent Customer Service.
